You seriously don't want customers spending lots of £££ in your shops?!
***************
So i saw in the news that the fashion store Abercrombie & Fitch...
you know the ones who have half naked models in the doorways to the shops.. and are very dark - so dark infact i've always been too scared to go in, either that or i'm rather put off by the fact they have beautiful half naked people flaunting themselves reminding me that i would not look that good in their clothes.
Oh and i think i dislike them for reading about the girl who was an amputee and due to being self conscious of her prosthetic arm and was wanting to wear a cardigan to work... but apparently that goes against their dress code, so she was just made to work in the stockroom.. unfair much?
Sorry went off on a tangent... This shop had stopped a woman from spending over £200 in a single transaction on their online shop as they claimed she may resell the items.. to me that is ludicrous as they then proceeded to place a ban on her buying any more items ever again from their site using her card. However as soon as it all came out in the news they let her go through with the purchase... SURPRISE SURPRISE.
They also made a statement basically saying that you can spend however much you like in an ACTUAL shop of theirs.. just not online - erm WTF?
Actually this article sums it all up... ( The shop that is )
What it's like to work for Abercrombie & Fitch
My favourite snippets from this article include:
" It was becoming clear what "model" actually amounted to - meant "shop assistant with come-hither looks"
"The company told us it was an equal opportunity employer. Funny, because all its visible staff are young and beautiful."
Wow, what a bloody brilliant tagline..."She informed us that the company had a "tagline" which we would have to use when greeting customers. She explained, very seriously, that it was, "Hello, how are you?""How did you come up with that?" I asked. She said a company of marketing consultants had worked intensively at developing it.They wanted to audition me to see if I could deliver the line - this was make or break. "Hello, how are you?!" I said clearly. "Very good" she reassured me. "
So yes, strong dislike for A&F.
Lets all stay FABULOUSLY BRITISH with JACK WILLS?!
XOXO
