I can't believe how long it has taken me to try out this nail varnish!
I keep seeing people with the cracked nail effect but just never got round to buying any.. until now!
So i purchased the Black Magic instant nail effects varnish - i decided to go for black as i thought it would go with the most colours, although it is available in Gold Glitter, White Frost, Blue Print & Pink Fizz. I'm personally not that keen on the White as i think it looks a bit like you've tippex'd your nails! But that's just my opinion. Not sure the gold would go with any colours apart from black. So i think black is definitely the more worth while buy.
It's so nice to have a nail varnish that can make your nails look fancy in a matter of minutes without the effort of having to go get them done professionally! Plus you get to play around with different colour combination's!
My first go with this i decided to use Barry M Red Glitter varnish as the underneath coating for the nail.
It is so easy to use - first step ( you could paint on a basecoat but i didn't bother!) paint your nails all one colour that you want to be underneath the black cracked effect. Like so...
Step 2 - apply one coat of the Instant nail effects varnish - you only need one coat & don't worry too much about going over any bits that you've missed as it definitely doesn't need to be perfect!
Within a matter of seconds you should start to see the cracks appearing....
VOILA...
The finished nail! ( sorry the picture isn't that brilliant quality.. but you get the idea!).
I'd definitely recommend this, as for £3.99 it's a bargain, plus it's always nice to be able to play around with nail colours!
Think i might try pink or purple as the underneath coating next. It will be interesting to see how long this varnish lasts on my nails, as i usually find most varnish's chip within 2 days.
I've painted a coat of clear nail varnish on top to try keep it fresh for a little bit longer.
TOP TIP - WHEN PAINTING YOUR NAILS, PAINT ON A BASECOAT WITH WHITE NAIL VARNISH TO MAKE COLOURS REALLY POP! IT SHOULD HOPEFULLY MAKE THEM APPEAR THE COLOUR THAT THEY ARE IN THE BOTTLE!
Have you tried this nail varnish? What colours have you used?
XOXO
