Primark Spree

Striped skater dress £8  / Maxi skirt £10  / Floral pumps £4

I went into Primark on Thursday and came across the above things which i absolutely love (as you'll be able to see from my previous post, i've already worn the skater dress!). The maxi skirt, i just adore the pattern on, but still deciding what would go with it best on top. 
Then i was in desperate need of some new comfortable shoes as my beloved River Island pixie boots ripped at the back the other day! Very frustrating that its miserable and cold here in England yet all the shops are full of summer essentials when i want to buy some new boots! 
Rain is not flip flop weather! But in the meantime i have these lovely floral pumps!

My Favourite Shop.

It's really tough to try to decide things like which are your favourite shops etc.. As the British highstreet does have such a good choice of fashion retailers.
My choice is a bit of an unusual one perhaps, and it's not so much for the clothing, i think its for the brand & the actual shops as they are so quintessentially British (or at least they have that feel about them) .
So my choice of shop is -  PRIMARK. 

Now while i do love this shop, and i adore flicking through their new catalogues, i can't afford to shop there! But i do have a few key items from there - enough to make a whole outfit in fact! - Even socks! 
Although the only problem i have is, that round where i live it is the "in" thing for young posh kids to have every item of Jack Wills clothing. So you just see lots of posh clones wandering the streets. Where as you go to other towns / cities and you barely see anyone in the clothes from here. 

Anyways the MUST HAVE item from Jack Wills in my opinion is this : 

The classic GILET! Yes it is expensive, but i do think it is well worth the money, i've had one for about 2 years i think now, and definitely had my moneys worth of wear out of it. 

Now i know this won't be for everyone, but this is just my opinion.  I especially love the newer ones that have the fur round the hoods & tartan lining. They retail for about £89. 

Jack Wills is ALL about the jogging bottoms, hoodies & shirts though. 

 

I  just LOVE the whole brand of the shop, i mean i think their actual shops are always beautifully laid out, and i especially love the shop in York as its like a little old fashioned house! 

(However if i worked there.. i would get utterly fed up of perfectly folding every item).

Oh and i ADORE the blue & pink theme.

So there we have it Jack Wills is my favourite shop, though i think more for the visual merchandising, and window displays & general lovelyness! As the clothes are a tad on the pricey side, i do love how they've branched out to more home ware items & such.

PS. as a  side note they seem to be the only highstreet shop to stock mittens with strings in winter & this is clearly effing BRILLIANT, because seriously who doesn't want or need mittens with strings?!
