For The Love Of Scarves!

SCARVES   I love scarves. They are such simple fashion accessory, yes just so damn wonderful. I seem to have built up quite the collection over the years. I'm not sure when i suddenly started getting into scarves, but now i tend to wear one pretty much every day it seems.

TOP TIP -
CHARITY SHOPS ARE FAB FOR FINDING CHEAP SILK SCARVES, AS WELL AS CAR BOOT SALES & MORE OBVIOUSLY ACTUAL VINTAGE SHOPS (HOWEVER THEY WILL BE MORE PRICEY)

Scarves are just brilliant for throwing on with a basic plain top to "JAZZ" it up a little bit in my opinion.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE SCARF IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD:

THIS is the scarf that i definitely get the most wear out of, i must wear it at least once a week if not more. I just absolutely LOVE the patterns & colours.
I do have to admit it wasn't technically mine to begin with, it was my Nana's so therefore i love it even more now. I think this is the one accessory in my whole wardrobe i couldn't live without.

 My leopard print Topshop scarf.
This is another "vintage" scarf that was originally my Nana's, i just love the patterns & colours on them , so beautiful.

MOSCHINO CHEAP & CHIC SCARVES  :

These two scarves i got from TKmaxx, they're just so cute & different.  Featuring Olive Oyl (Off of Popeye).

 THE MCQUEEN:

This HAS to be the ULTIMATE scarf.
It is just divine. I LOVE mine, i have to admit i actually purchased it the day Alexander McQueen sadly passed away as i was panicking incase they stopped making them  & i'd miss out on owning one, as i had always wanted one, so it gave me the push i needed to finally buy one - is that wrong? Anyways i bought mine from Net-a-Porter, they were selling out pretty quickly on there that day, so clearly i wasn't the only one who rushed to buy this classic McQueen piece.

While i do like the coloured scarves, i think with pieces like this you are better off choosing more traditional / classic colours - unless your loaded in which case buy one in every colour..

It is just the most beautiful delicate scarf in the world! And it has skulls on it.. what more could i want?! It is also the most expensive scarf i have ever & will ever probably own.
£165 worth of scarf heaven!

I have to add that the cashmere blend McQueen scarves look gorgeous, but for a hefty £245!!

I'm sure i'll post some more about my scarves in the future..  But that's my scarf post over for now!

XOXO

I want.

I want these tights, they are awesome.
Henry Holland from River Island.

LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Fringe love .

I got my hair done yesterday.. This in itself is pretty much an amazing thing since I only had it done last in September . (I say this because usually it takes me 6 months to a year to get around to booking another appointment ) .

I have some what of a hairdresser phobia.. I'm not even sure why as I always love the super shiny hair that I come out of the salon with.

I have however now found a hairdresser who doesn't talk, which is also amazing. I've always hated the boring conversation you have to make while shouting over the hair dryers . So this is just brilliant . I think that's a reason why I went back actually.

Anyways so yes I got my hair done, it's lovely, shiny & my fringe is back to being fringe like instead of a mess .
Because my hair s quite thick & now rather long I always find it ridiculous knotty so it's nice to be able to actually get a brush through it !

Xoxo

Ps I can now blog from my iPhone, this makes me very happy & also it might mean I make some interesting blog posts while out & about if I see anything interesting in the shops & can slyly take pictures..

New Boots .

These boots were made for walking.
These are my lovely / wonderful / amazing new boots ... Cowboy boots with feathers - seriously the best new boots around!
Primark £18 if you must know.. Complete & utter bargain in my opinion.

I LOVE winter boots, and these are no exception, although I do wonder how long the feathers will last.. However there is detailing etched on the boots so they ll still look good even when all the feathers have dropped off .

I do wish they also did a black version of these boots!

I'm just in love with these boots right now though. Last year it was all about my black studded leather biker boots, this year it is all about these feathery bad boys!

Xoxo

My Fashion Boudoir

((( So i have just discovered quite a lot of pictures that i have previously taken for the purposes of blogging yet never got round to putting them up..
While i am on a bit of a blogging frenzy this week i thought i best get round to it. )))

My Fashion Boudoir!
I don't think i have posted pictures of my wardrobes etc on here since i have sorted them all out from moving house in the summer.. So here is my collection of clothes / jewellery / shoes & general tat!!

FYI - Glitter Mary available from Paperchase (blatantly).
This is my over crammed jewellery hand which may well tip over any day now with the amount of giant rings i've stuff on each finger.

Rings are definitely my weak point. I can't resist them.

My beauty stash.. which is all stuffed onto a "vintage" (kind of..) bookshelf.

My dressing table - complete with glittery Mary & Jesus statues of course! And numerous make up bag... Spot the Paperchase items! ha.
Just as an additional note, i'd always wanted a proper dressing table - you know the type, white, with a big triple mirror, little stool.. however i couldn't afford to buy one SO i asked my Grandad if i could have this old wooden table from his garage, threw a lacey bit of material over it, added a little mirror & hey presto !!

Wardrobe numero uno - Thats right.. i have 2 wardobes and what?!
This open wooden / canvas one was an Ikea bargain for around £30. I like having all my clothes on display, except it does have the disadvantage of looking slightly messy due to how over crammed it is.
Collection of overnight bags on the top shelf.
Oh and my pretty black & white mannequin to the left of the picture currently modelling a floppy hat.

My earring box! Just literally stuffed full with all my earrings, which actually thinking about i need to get more wear out of since i don't actually seem to wear any "fashion" ones very often.

My perfume collection...
Can you tell i'm a fan of the Britney perfumes?! Oh and DKNY and Marc Jacobs Daisy perfumes for that matter...

Not that you can really make it out but there is also a cat ring holder in this picture holding even more rings...

My rather lovely shoe shaped jewellery tree, with a collection of necklaces dangling...

Bird wire jewellery holder (Marks & Spencers) , used for necklaces & rings. All these jewellery tree's / holders do come in very handy, especially as they stop necklaces getting all tangled up. And when they look as delightful as this, who can resist?!

Yet more rings ( i did say that i can't resist...).
On a rather beautiful hand painted ring stand which i adore, it was a present the other year.
Numerous flower rings on this one!
Definitely a knuckle duster fan!

The door of my second wardrobe which has a handy rail which has become extremely useful for storing my scarf collection on.. Another item that i can't resist is the humble scarf! Especially silky ones, i LOVE them. Especially the Leopard print one pictured above. They are such a simple way to jazz up an outfit with no effort!

My shoe collection.... well half of it.... Shoe rack from Argos, think it was a bargain price of about £6! This is my "nicer" collection of shoes, as opposed to my every day scruffy shoes which are all stuffed in the porch on another shoe rack. Oh and then i have the really old collection of trainers / walking boots ( yes that's right, i own walking boots!) under my stairs...

That is my spare room.... my beautiful little collection of jewellery stands, and then along the shelf at the top i have my collection of Pandora bags & Vivienne Westwood little grey boxes.

So that is my collection of clothes / shoes / jewellery.

I also feel the need that i should document how pretty & organised they look now before i have to reorganise to make room for a certain little baby.... Because you know obviously babies take priority over shoe collections & dressing tables.

Making this post has made me realise.. i have quite the collection it would seem!

XOXO

Johnny Depp

Mr Depp has just covered the front of Aspen Peak magazine ( not entirely sure what that is..) HOWEVER to say he is verging on 50 years old he is still looking as beautiful as ever....

SWOOOON.
That is all, i just wanted to share the beautifulness that is Johnny Depp... Although i do actually wonder if his new film The Rum Diary is worth seeing as it actually seems rather good judging by the adverts. (Though of course it won't be like no Tim Burton film..)

XOXO

Going GAGA for GAGA.

Lady Gaga looked a vision in a white custom Chanel dress (i WISH i could get custom Chanel..) while opening her Gaga workshop at Barneys NY this week.

Oh how i would have LOVED to have been there, unfortunately my funds, fear of flying, lack of time of work and not to mention being heavily pregnant has put a stop to this..

The singers festive pop up shop will sell over 150 items inspired or created by Lady Gaga, including candles & spiky glass necklaces (festive tat as described by The Sun article that i've just read)!

I have to say though recently Gaga seems to have gone less "edgy / crazy " with her outfits & actually some of them seem rather..... NORMAL! (When i say normal.. i of course mean in the Gaga sense of the word.. not in my world).
A far cry from her past meat dress & lobster shaped head gear..

Pictures to prove my point from the past few months :

OH i have to say i absolutely ADORED this massive bow that she debuted on the Alan Carr show while performing...

Now where can i get a bow like that?!?! I feel i could pull that look off... HAHA.

XOXO

Strictly Come Dancing

It's been 8 weeks and i don't think i have even mentioned Strictly Come dancing until now... Saturday night TV is just perfect with the return of the BBC dancing show..
And the outfits have been spectacular so far this year.

My two favourite dancers are Chelsee Healey (off of Waterloo Road) & Harry Judd (McFly).

Chelsee just comes across as such a lovely down to earth girl & seems to actually have the most "natural" talent in my opinion & really gives the dances some welly (as said by head judge Len).
Her outifts have all been pretty spectacular, my favourite so far being from this past weekend in Wembley:

I just love the big feahers! And of course the Union Jack design on the front which was a clear nod to Ginger Spice as they danced the samba to Spice Up Your Life - Spice Girls!

Harry & Aliona are just brilliant & i really think they might be in with a strong chance to win.
Oh how i miss the days of McFly... (Although clearly Busted were the better band..)

Strictly really makes me wish i could dance.. but maybe thats only if i could dance with a partner like James or Pascha..

XOXO

Katy Perry - The One That Got Away

Katy Perry

I think i am a little bit in LOVE with Katy Perry (as well as her husband Mr Brand) , she seems to be able to do no wrong !
This week at the American Music Awards she rocked up looking absolutely stunning in a Vivienne Westwood sequined dress.
I am also still loving her hair colour, makes me really want pink hair...

On another Katy Perry note.. i adore her new music video for the single "The One That Got Away" , it's strange because it's not a song i ever really particularly liked up until now, and i just love it .

In said video Katy debuts a rather older look....

Dear Santa...

Please bring me this bag for Christmas...

 ASOS PAULS BOUTIQUE BAG

I actually really LOVE this bag... And it's reduced... it has skulls on & leopard print - which are of course my two favourite things EVER.

New In

Every few days i browse the River Island website to check out the new arrivals. It's weird because i never used to like River Island very much, i was ALL about New Look (though back then i did work there & get a hefty 50% discount)... However these day's i LOVE River Island, its more edgy than New Look in my opinion, and the sales there are bloody brilliant.
Obviously the majority of clothes these days come from Primark in my wardrobe but if i had more pennies it would definitely be filled with River Island items.

Anyways here are some things i am LOVING this week on the website -

Christmas Jumpers!

That's right folks Christmas jumpers are totally on trend right now... the tackier the better it would seem...

I snapped the above picture at Primark in the menswear section.

Womens Institute..

So last week i joined the W.I !! That's right, i am now part of the local Womens Institute.
We made beaded snowflake decorations & i have to say i am extremely proud of mine.. no idea what i'm going to do with it mind (it doesn't match my glittery Christmas tree theme you see)..

Isn't it pretty?
Possibly the most crafty item i have ever made in my entire life! And i'm not sure that i'll ever be able to make another one without being told exactly what to do.. But still i'm impressed with it!

Also don't be fooled, this was extremely hard to make! Very intricate!!

May i also point out that the W.I i have joined is a "younger / hip " version of the old womens club! I'm quite excited because i'd wanted join a W.I group for some time, but there hadn't been any suitable looking ones until this new one started.

Next month we're making Christmas wreathes so watch this space!!

Aswell after talking to the leader of the group , she made a really good point that our generation has kind of missed out on learning skills that our grandparents etc would have learnt such as needlework / knitting and so on.. So it's nice that we can go to groups like this to learn these kind of skills.

XOXO

Halloween

So since i have been a bit AWOL from my blog i just realised i totally missed out on posting my Halloween outfit this year...

This year i was a witch.. a witch with a jaunty hat. (purchased from Accessorize).
Complete with glittery bat tattoo transfers ( also Accessorize).
I just had a little get together with friends at my house, which of course i decorated..

(complete with a little familiar !)
