What I wore Today

With all the warm weather still continuing I decided it was time for another maxi skirt today.
This is a fairly new one from Primark , I love the bold print on it with all the different colours.
I teamed it with a chiffon type tshirt f also from Primark & a skull pendant from Topshop to give it a bit of edge.

YooMoo!

Strawbswirlmoo

Yoomoo is a new brand of frozen yoghurt deserts available from supermarkets now (they were on offer for £1 in Sainsburies last time i went), and i have to say they are absolutely DELISH!
As you can see from above even Bandit the dog approves (side note : he was licking the finished tub, not sharing it with me!).

There are currently seven flavours available: Angelmoo, Chocmoo (which i am desperate to try), Devilmoo, Nakedmoo, Strawbmoo, Strawbswirlmoo & Tropicoolmoo.

I've only tried Angelmoo & Strawbswirlmoo - which is my favourite so far with freeze dried strawberries on top & strawberry sauce.

These make a delicious healthy alternative to ice cream in the summer heatwave we're currently having, and they're naturally low in fat too!

After looking on Yoomoo  , i've just seen that they even do 'Yoghurt Bars' where you can enjoy these treats when out & about shopping which is a really good idea.

Hvae you tried a Yoomoo yet?

What I wore today

Summer style - leggings with cream blouse / tunic type top.

Shoes of the week

I love these tan suede style loafers from Primark, they are super comfy and go with loads of different outfits! I'm a sucker for Primark shoes since they're so cheap & i do just wear them until they fall apart! Hopefully i'll get my wear out of these before they give out!

Last Week

I've been a bit lacking in my posts recently! Need to get on top of posting every day again!

Anyways, what have i been upto? Well last night i went to a Eurovision Party - it's a bit of a tradition amongst my friends and i, mainly because i love Eurovision and HAVE to watch it every year.. so for the occasion i decided to bake some 'UK' cupcakes in my support for The Hump..  I think it was very disappointing how low both the UK & Ireland came!

Uk cupcakes!

In other news i ordered some childrens books for Theo from Amazon :

Dear Vampa / Tumford The Terrible / Six Dinner Sid / Russell The Sheep / A Dark Dark Tale / Peace at Last / In The Haunted House / Mog The Forgetful Cat

I love buying new childrens books for him, and it's meant that i've discovered some brilliant new reads  - Tumford, being my favourite so far which is about a cat who won't apologise for it's naughty behaviour, i'd not heard of it before having a browse on Amazon one night & it's got lovely illustrations. As well as new reads, it's also meant i've rediscovered some of my childrens books!
I am pretty determined that Theo is going to love Halloween as much as me, it will be a major disappointment if he's not! Hence the Haunted house book & Dear Vampa which is a tale of a family of Vampires & Werewolves!

With this in mind once i found out that there was a childrens book of Nightmare Before christmas, i just HAD to get it!

It is absolutely beautifully illustrated by Tim Burton himself, and it's actually a full length poem that inspired the film. It's really lovely to read with all it's rhymes, and especially if you love all things Halloween like me! It's a hardback edition so i'm hoping it will be a book that is treasured for years to come.
I'd never seen this in any book shops, so i think it must have just been available in America.

Do you have a favourite childrens book?

New shades

So i bought myself some new shades the other day from River Island for £10, i absolutely LOVE these tortoiseshell rayban style sunglasses. I had to replace a pair of Pepe Jeans ones which i lost & haven't seen in over a year now, so these ones are the perfect replacement pair.
I love a good pair of sunglasses like these as they'll go with so many outfits, and for £10 they're a pretty good bargain (well compared to the real deal Raybans!).

What I wore today...

Rocking the Rolling Stones tee (H&M) for the second time in the past week.. Really love it.
I matched it with a grey jersey dip hem skirt from Primark & black footless tights, with a New Look denim shirt over the top.

Flatout bear

Flatout Bear
Last week this beautifully soft bear arrived in the post.
It's a Flatout Bear.  I found out about these lovely bears when i was browsing through Not On The Highstreet (which FYI is one of the best online shopping sites ever), and decided i would purchase one for my little one. It's 100% sheepskin so just so soft!
I thought it was a nice alternative to the traditional bears that are out there. This one is in 'honey' colour, but there are lots of other colours available even including a koala bear!

In other baby related news, i purchased another storage system from Argos - these are fab in my opinion, i already have one which just has boxes, but this one pictured below has book storage space on the top! As you can see it's already pretty full!

Song Of The Day

Wide Awake - Katy Perry

Love a bit of Katy Perry and this latest offering is no exception.  It's not up there as being as great as Teenage Dream / Firework , but i think its still a good pop song.

Bokwa!

So... last Thursday, i took the plunge, i went to a dance fitness class... a Bokwa class to be precise!
It was a bit daunting as i'd never been to really any kind of dance-ercise class and my sense of rhythm is pretty much non existant. I'd been really wanting to try Zumba (which from the sounds of it, is quite similar to Bokwa) but the whole craze seemed to kick off during my pregnancy, so obviously was a no go.
Luckily for me a new Bokwa class started in my local town last week so it was the perfect opportunity to go along and be amongst other Bokwa ' newbies ', rather than try fit in with a bunch of seemingly professionals.
i have to admit, it was a lot of fun, however it was completely exhausting & trying to remember each dance move was quite tricky.. But luckily i wasn't the only one struggling to keep up so that seemed to make it a little bit better. Plus it did help that the hand signals that the instructor does aren't exactly rocket science - including making a square with her hands to signify that we had to move in a square motion. So it wasn't too hard to follow once you got the jist of the different moves.
I will definitely be going to the class again this week and would really recommend it to anyone else thinking about taking the plunge to join in with the fitness dance craze!
Bokwa outfit!

Sparkly white trainers ! (you can tell how much i wear them...! )

What I've been wearing 2

Yet another maxi skirt this week.. And another band tshirt.. Surprise surprise!

This striped maxi is also from New Look in the mid season sale a few weeks ago. Rolling Stones lick cropped tshirt is from H&M last year, with it being a bit chilly I put a long sleeved plain black shirt underneath from New Look - also in the sale!

Xoxo

What I've been wearing..

This week I've mainly been wearing skirts, maxi skirts to be precise. I absolute love a good maxi skirt. Especially patterned ones.

This leopard print one I got from New look the other year in the sale for I think about £5 and I have definitely gotten my use out of it.
I don't do shorts during warm weather so these are perfect!

I love clashing patterns together so I wore this with a Metallica pattern & a vintage floral red scarf. Then teamed it with a leather aviator jacket from Primark.

Sainsburies Baby shopping haul..

1. Fisher price mirror crab toy - I really like this cute little crab which is meant to encourage tummy time play with its mirrored front & it also rocks side to side which rattles little beads in the pincers. As well as having little moveable discs on the front too.

2. Hungry caterpillar outfit set - i absolutely love the clothing ranges in Sainsburies but specifically the Gruffalo & Hungry Caterpillar things. I just think that they are really adorable - plus both ranges are pretty unisex too which is good. So this little outfit was half price so about £4 and i got it in an older size, i think 1 year so it will do for A/W.

3. 2 books - First black & white book and One Bear lost. I love baby books, and these were both on offer so i couldn't resist.

4.  Transport themed bibs - a complete necessity ! These ones are plastic backed so much better as it means his clothes underneath don't get soggy! I think these are super cute with different modes of transport on them.

5. Paddington vests ( set of 2 ) -  With everyone getting patriotic this year what with the jubilee & olympics, these are very fitting! I just think that they're so cute with the little union jacks on & paddington bear.

The below image is a close up of the pattern on one of the vests :

Next shop

I absolutely love the baby/kids section in Next, they do absolutely superb stuff - just a shame it's a tad on the pricey side, but the quality is really good so maybe that makes up for it!

So i realise the other day that my little one didn't have a rain coat, and since he does go in the Baby Bjorn carrier a fair bit & carried out to the car etc i thought i should probably get him one, i sensibly purchased one thats bit too big so he has room to grow into it! I really i love this bright green wind cheater style coat.

Then i couldn't resist these new dribble bibs.  He's starting to dribble a lot these days so they are brilliant to keep his tshirts from going soggy throughout the day. I really like the denim looking one as it'll go with loads.

xoxo

Stamps get fashionable!

These first class stamps make me want to send letters just so i get to use them.. especially the Vivienne Westwood one.

Vivienne Westwoods Harlequin dress

Who knew stamps could look so good?

There are 10 fashion stamps in total & they are to celebrate the British fashion style ( i guess this year is all about getting patriotic right?! )

the full collection of designer stamps

I personally love them. I think they really stand out!
Ohter designers featured include Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith, Zandra Rhodes, Ossie Clark, Hardy Amies, Jean Muir and Norman Hartnell.

The collection of stamps go on sale tomorrow for the price of £6 for the full set.

Will you be buying these stylish stamps?!

xoxo

Skater dress stripes

I love this white skater dress with black stripes, it's perfect for summer or colder weather since I can just dress it up with tights & boots.
It was just from Primark, I think for around £8 so a complete bargain.

I teamed it with a vintage patterned silk scarf, leggings & a green slightly metallic Coat from New Look.

Song Of The Day

Black Eyed Peas - Where Is The Love ?
I know this is an old song.. but i really think it's a classic, it's so catchy! With watching the Voice every weekend, i found myself having an urge to listen to Black Eyed Peas songs - although actually it stemmed from me having to play some of their tunes to my mother who said she wouldn't recognise any of their songs..
I'd forgotten just how many brilliant catchy songs they've had over the years!
Also love Boom Boom Pow!

Skulls & stripes

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I absolutely love stripes.. Oh and skulls!
This stripe Breton style top was in the sale at New Look for about £4 I think, complete bargain. New Look basics are really good value for money, especially during the sales.
The scarf (McQueen copycat) is from Primark for I think £2.50.. It comes in a wide range of colours, I now own 3 of them! Love them.
Especially Love this navy one though.

Polka dots & swallows

(firstly apologies for my lack of posts recently! Hopefully have some more coming up this weekend..)

I love polka dots & swallows! I went to the theatre the other night to see Michael McIntyre (you know, that comedian) so thought I'd put on a dress for the occasion!
He was very funny, it was actually just a warm up gig for his next tour, but well worth it. Laughs a plenty.

Song Of The Day

Mac Miller - Frick Park Market
I am bit partial to a bit of rap, and i have to say i really love this song! I'm not sure what it is, but when i heard it on the radio i couldn't get it out of my head! So catchy!

Loving..

£3 from River Island.
I LOVE anything to do with skulls pretty much, and this necklace is no exception. Ok so it may look a little bit odd, but i think in a strange way it's quite cute! i would definitely wear this!

Baby buys...

I am in LOVE with the above outfits i bought for my little man.
Bus jersey 3 piece set £14 (how fricking adorable is the flat cap?!?) &  Crab dungarees £14 both from Next, as well as the dribble bibs, which i got 2 packs of 2 !
I love baby outfits from Next, they're quite generous sized and wash really well.

Boots currently have a 3 for 2 baby offer on at the moment & i was sent a £5 off when you spend £20 voucher too so i got these teethers by Nuby which seem quite good, although he's not tried them yet!

What I wore today..

Pink jumper - Topshop
Grey jersey dip hem skirt - Primark £8
Leggings - Mothercare ( still getting my wear out of maternity clothes)!
